Cat Parr

With her unique ability to blend rock, country, blues and dance music, Cat Parr brings a familiar sound to new music. Lyricist and song stylist and vocal arranger, her powerful performance is always a crowd pleasing, rocking good time.

“Come On In” is her exciting new LP release with guitarist, cowriter and coproducer Ray Riso. This 10-song package of new originals is geared to Rock you to your Soul! Hard hitting, rump shaking rockers to, feel good summer time sing alongs, to heart breaking tear jerkers. We even wrote, the next new favorite country, kinda, line dance song, Come On In! Every song has meaning and comes at you straight, no chaser! Cat and Ray are a perfect blend of genres that hit all the sweet spots that will leave you wanting more!

Cat’s writing and performance credits with collaborator and co producer Charlie Cohn, include background music on Netflix’s Dear White People, Showtime’s Kidding, Jerry Springer, Family Matters, and Law and Order SUV. “You” is their latest effort with video produced by Todd Stark and S.A. Baron showing on her YouTube Channel.

“It’s A New Day” is a spirit lifting, catchy feel-good song, co written and produced by Billy “Bang” Gaines and Ken Florendo. Video by Charles Certain can also be seen on her YouTube Channel.

From Lucille’s stage at B.B. King’s Blues Club in the heart of NYC, Cat was the first featured “Diva in Blue” with the renowned Papa J and Mo’ Soul, the Harlem based soul and funk blues band. Together they played on stages in NYC such as The Red Lion, Dinosaur BBQ, and The Cupping Room.

Hailing from Brooklyn, she comes from a musical family, collaborating at a very early age, with her “rock” brother, Greg Parr, an acclaimed guitarist. The summer of 2021 featured them playing dockside from Danford’s Hotel and Marina in Port Jefferson, NY as the main attraction every Sunday and at JJCoopers in Long Beach, NY every Tuesday.

Cat got lucky enough to align herself with some of Long Island’s top players to form the benefit cover band, Cat Parr and Friends! For 5 years, they played to crowds of up to 300 people at the ever-popular Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall.

Cat had a blast as the lead vocalist with Long Island based band, BackBone, also featuring lead guitarist, Lou Carollo. Their original music is a serious blend of soulful rock tinged with blues, videos on Cat’s YouTube Channel
